3 Golden Rules for Better Digestion (No Matter Your Energy Type!)
No matter which dosha is dominant in your digestion, Ayurveda teaches us three golden rules to strengthen digestion and feel amazing:
Did you know that cold foods slow down digestion? If you’re eating salads, smoothies, or foods straight from the fridge, your digestive fire (Agni) has to work harder. Instead, favor warm, nourishing meals like soups, stews, and lightly cooked vegetables.
Ayurveda teaches that digestion follows the rhythm of the sun.
Breakfast: A light but warm meal to wake up digestion
Lunch (Biggest Meal): Midday when digestion is at its peak
Dinner (Lightest Meal): A lighter meal, at least 2-3 hours before bed
If you wake up without an appetite, it may be a sign you’re eating too late at night!
One of the simplest ways to instantly boost digestion is to sip on warm water instead of cold drinks. Try adding ginger, cumin, or fennel for an extra digestive boost!
